Translating Parrot is a mobile translation app that allows you to translate text between 12 different languages.

When Translating Parrot loads you select the language that you speak then the language that you want to translate to from the choice of 12. Languages include French, Spanish, Hebrew, Arabic, Japanese, and even Haitian Creole. However, Translating Parrot does lack some important languages such as German, Portuguese and Korean, for example.

Translating text with Translating Parrot is fairly easy, although you have to delve into the context menu to find the Translate button, rather than simply clicking through from the main page. The app includes a cut and copy feature too.

It's uncertain why the app references a parrot because, despite appearing in the program logo, there is no sign of a bird in the design of the Translating Parrot interface.

Still, Translating Parrot makes for a quick way to translate phrases between different languages.
